Minecraft 1.21, also known as Tricky Trials, is bringing with it a surprising expansion to the game's combat in the form of a new weapon type. This new weapon is the mace, which can convert fall damage into attack damage, a truly unique piece of utility. The mace is also getting three new enchantments: breach, wind burst, and density.
Density is the most common of these new enchantments, meaning it's the one players are most likely to see. The density enchantment is detailed down below, along with the other two mace enchantments.
What does Minecraft's density enchantment do?

Density is the most straightforward of the Minecraft mace enchantments. It increases the damage bonus per block fallen. Higher levels of the enchantment grant higher bonus damage, with each level adding a quarter heart of bonus damage per block fallen. This means the enchantment adds a total of 1.25 extra hearts of damage per block at the maximum level.
The density enchantment can be applied via an enchanting table, like many other enchantments. It can also be found in the form of an enchanted book from an opened ominous Minecraft vault. This means it might be found while looking for the materials needed to actually craft a mace.
Outside of this, note that the density enchantment is mutually exclusive with the breach, smite, and bane of arthropods Minecraft weapon enchantments. This means only one of these enchantments can be on a mace at once, so make sure to not put the wrong enchantment on by accident.
The other mace enchantments

As previously mentioned, there are two more enchantments available for Minecraft's new mace weapon. The first, and more common, of these two enchantments is the breach enchantment. This reduces the impact that a target's armor has on a mace attack's damage. The reduction is 15% per level, up to a maximum of four levels.
However, this enchantment is not recommended for single-player, as the only Minecraft mob that has enough armor for a breach to matter is a closed shulker. Like density, this enchantment can be obtained both from enchanting tables and ominous vaults.
The final other mace enchantment is the wind burst. Unlike both breach and density, wind burst cannot be applied to a mace via an enchanting table. It can only be found via ominous vaults in the form of an enchanted book. Wind burst allows players to spring back up into the air after landing a smash attack with the mace, with higher levels, up to three, giving more height.
