Episode Echoes introduced 15 new Legendary weapons in Destiny 2, five of which have been re-issued from a previous season. Every gear piece has perks that cater to the current sandbox, allowing players to build their characters with these weapons in mind. However, having a few specific weapons as the main source of firepower is common.

This article lists five weapons players should prioritize picking up and crafting. Note that each weapon has its separate usage in the game. So, all 15 seasonal gear pieces are useful in one way or another.

However, the selected Destiny 2 weapons mentioned below are meant for regular use, as they can be powerful regardless of the activity or its difficulty.

5) Speleologist

The Speleologist is one of the few Solar Machine Guns in the game. Compared to other weapons of the same category, it is significantly more accessible due to its drop rate from seasonal activities and the fact that it can be crafted over time. It is a Rapid Fire Framed weapon, meaning it has the same rate of fire as a Lightweight Framed Submachine Gun.

However, Machine Guns dish out more damage, allowing players to use them for clearing mob groups in endgame activities or shut down mini-bosses quickly. The Speleologist is a great weapon to fill in the role of both, as it has some of the best synergies with Solar builds, when paired with perks, such as Heal Clip, Incandescent, Killing Tally, or Target Lock.

If you are looking for an add-clearing weapon that can take care of all types of enemies regardless of the difficulty, then the Speleologist will be your friend for the entirety of the game.

4) Perfect Paradox

The Perfect Paradox has made a return from Season of the Dawn. It is a Kinetic Rapid Fire Framed Shotgun, allowing its user to quickly shut down enemies from close range. Rapid Fire Shotguns are widely popular among Titans in general, as perks, such as One-Two Punch, allow them to pair with a melee-oriented Exotic armor and dish out a heavy burst of damage on bosses.

The Perfect Paradox is currently also the most accessible Rapid Fire Shotgun in the game, as other Shotguns of the same archetype are either vaulted or available in the World drop pool. Note that this weapon isn't craftable, so look for the best perks in drops.

Some notable perks on the Perfect Paradox include Dual Loader, One-Two Punch, Trench Barrel, Slideshot, Opening Shot, and Threat Detector.

3) Lost Signal

The Lost Signal is the first of its kind in Destiny 2, and falls under the Area Denial Framed archetype. It acts like the Witherhoard Exotic, where it fires a projectile and covers an area with the weapon's damage type for a short period.

One significant difference between the Lost Signal and the Witherhoard is that the former cannot be attached to an enemy for DoT (damage over time). In this regard, it is a great weapon for clearing out groups of enemies on the ground, or damaging a mini-boss that tends to stick in an area.

It does come with utility perks, such as Auto Loading Holster or Lead from Gold, giving players an advantage in rooms full of mobs. For damage, the options are Vorpal Weapon and One for All, alongside additional utilities, such as Unrelenting and Demolitionist, besides others.

2) Corrasion

The Corrasion is a Heavy burst Pulse Rifle that fires a two-round burst. It is a unique archetype in the Pulse Rifle department, with only three weapons available in the game. Aside from the Corrasion, the other two are available from the Trials of Osiris PvP, and the Salvation's Edge Raid. Hence, this weapon is the easiest to farm.

Due to its archetype, it can deal increased damage by consuming a short amount of ammunition, making it useful for PvE and PvP. The perks make it mandatory for players to have one copy of the weapon for each game mode. Perpetual Motion and Eye of the Storm are recommended for PvP, alongside Eddy Current and Voltshot for PvE.

1) Aberrant Action

The Aberrant Action was released in the game when Rocket-Assisted Sidearms were getting popular. Even so, this Solar weapon made its mark due to the perks and synergies it creates with Solar subclasses. The primary appeal of this archetype is the ease of shooting enemies from afar and landing high-damage shots.

While Beacon Rounds is a great QoL (Quality of Life) for shooting homing missiles from these Sidearms, the Aberrant Action takes a different route. Players can have Heal Clip and Incandescent to clear out mob groups in endgame activities, all while getting self-healing with kills.

The two other Rocket-Assisted Sidearms, Indebted Kindness and The Call, are great for their respective elemental builds. Similarly, the Aberrant Action is a must-have with Solar builds, especially with Fragments that support scorch from Incandescent.
