Corey LaJoie hails from Charlotte, North Carolina and was born on September 25th, 1991. He is a full-time driver in the NASCAR Cup Series driving the no. 7 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Spire Motorsports. He also races part time in the Craftsman Truck Series racing the no. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire.

LaJoie is yet to win a race in either of the three national series but he has claimed many Top-10 positions. His best finish in the three series is 4th, 6th and 10th in the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series respectively.

He started his career in 1996 with karting races. LaJoie won 19 races on the dirt and asphalt tracks. He has had his finish to date in the ARCA Menards Series East. He was the runner up in the 2012 edition of the championship. He started his NASCAR career with BK Racing in the 2017 Cup Series. LaJoie has participated in 249 races over nine years of his career and achieved 9 Top-10 finishes. He finished 25th in the 2023 Cup Series Championship which was his best championship finish in NASCAR Cup Series to date.
