Rebecca Quin is an Irish professional wrestler, and actress signed with WWE. She goes by her ring name, Becky Lynch, and she is assigned to Raw. Becky is a former SmackDown Women's Champion and the longest-reigning Raw Women's Champion.
Quin began training at a wrestling school that was run by Finn Balor. She often tagged with her brother during matches. She worked for promotions such as Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling and All-Pro Wrestling. In 2006, Quin sustained a life-threatening head injury which caused her to take a six-year hiatus from wrestling. She made sporadic appearances for some Irish promotions.
After recovering from her injury, she signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2013. She started under the name Becky Lynch. They heavily featured Quin in NXT. Throughout her run, she faced several stars such as Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Summer Rae. At TakeOver Unstoppable, LynchLost to Sasha Banks in a title match. It was her last appearance before her main roster debut.
Main Roster & SmackDown Women's Champion (2015-2017)
Lynch made her Raw debut as a part of the Women's Revolution storyline, which involved Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair. Lynch and Charlotte formed PCB, along with Paige. Paige turned on the group after Charlotte won the Divas Championship.
After Charlotte defeated Paige to keep her title, she began a storyline with Lynch . Lynch Lynch faced Charollete at Royal Rumble for the title and lost. Lynch fought Sasha Banks and Charlotte in a triple threat for the new Raw Women's Championship, which she lost.
Over the later months, Lynch was involved in a rivalry with Natalya. During the Draft, Lynch was drafted to SmackDown. At Backlash 2016, she was crowned the new SmackDown Women's Champion. The reign lasted for 84 days after she lost to Alexa Bliss in a tables match at TLC.
Chasing the SmackDown Women's Championship (2017-2018)
Lynch had several feuds over the year and defeated the likes of Carmella, Mickie James, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, and Liv Morgan. She took part in a six-pack challenge for the title at WrestleMania 33 in April, which was ultimately won by Naomi. She was in the first-ever Money in the Bank ladder match, which was won by Carmella.
The Man, Main Event at WrestleMania, and Raw Women's Champion (2018-2020)
After failing to win the Royal Rumble and Women's Battle Royale at WrestleMania, Lynch went on an undefeated streak. At SummerSlam, Lynch turned on Charlotte after losing the match. At Hell in a Cell 2018, Lynch won the SmackDown Women's Championship for the second time. Lynch dubbed herself as The Man and was set to face Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series. However, an injury caused by Nia Jax caused her to miss the event.
Lynch started a rivalry with Rousey, which cost her the SmackDown Women's Championship. At Royal Rumble 2019, Becky Lynch won the Royal Rumble and challenged Ronda at WrestleMania 35. They added Charlotte to the match and both the titles were on the line. At WrestleMania 35, Lynch defeated Ronda and Charlotte to win both the championships.
Lynch lost her SmackDown Women's Championship at Money in the Bank 2019. Lynch became the longest-reigning RAW Women's Champion for over 400 days.
Pregnancy, Return, and Championships (2020-Present)
On Raw, Lynch announced her pregnancy and handed her RAW Women's Championship to Asuka. Lynch took a hiatus for over 15 months. She returned at SummerSlam 2021 as a mystery opponent for Bianca Belair. Lynch won her fourth SmackDown Women's Championship at SummerSlam.
In the following weeks, she turned heel and beat Bianca in their rematch. She defeated Banks and Bianca at Crown Jewel 2021 to retain her title. At Survivor Series 2021, she defeated Charlotte in a Champion vs Champion match. After Survivor Series, Lynch was drafted to RAW, and they exchanged the championships. It began Lynch's second reign as RAW Women's Champion. At WrestleMania 38, she lost the RAW Women's Championship to Bianca Belair.
Following this defeat, Lynch challenged for the titles quite a few times to no benefit. Frustrated, she challenged for 24/7 Championships, but couldn't win it due to interferences.
On the 18th July 2022 edition of Monday Night RAW, Lynch announced that the winner of the contest between the RAW Women's Champion Bianca Belair and Carmella would face the Man at SummerSlam for the title. Bianca retained the title and therefore the match was set.
At SummerSlam, Belair defeated Lynch to retain the title, following which Lynch shook hands with Belair. The duo was confronted by Bayley, Iyo Sky, and Dakota Kai. On the following RAW, it was announced that Lynch had suffered an injury at SummerSlam and is going to be out of the action for an indefinite time.
