Tait Fletcher started his combat sports journey during college when he took up wrestling and later became a founding member of Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn's fight team.
Fletcher made his professional MMA debut in 2003 at KOTC 26 against Jimmy Westfall. Fletcher won the fight and won his next 2-fights before fighting Scott Smith at WEC 17. Fletcher got dominated in the fight as Smith TKO'ed him in the first round via punches.
After this loss, Fletcher joined the UFC as a participant in the 3rd season of The Ultimate Fighter where he lost his quarterfinal bout in the show against Josh Haynes. He got infamous during the season due to a shouting match he had with Ken Shamrock.
After the Ultimate Fighter, Fletcher fought at the X-1 Grand Prix 2007 against Auggie Padeken. He won the fight via split decision but lost his next fight at KOTC: Badlands against Chad Herrick via a KO(punch).
Fletcher retired from MMA following the loss to fulfill his desire to pursue a career as an actor and stuntman. He enjoyed more success in this endeavor as he has worked for famous for the TV show Breaking Bad and several movies like Thor: The Dark World.
