Pokemon GO players come from many walks of life, and many have real-world jobs and professions in their day-to-day existence. However, depending on the profession, a player's real-world job might very well help them out in Niantic's mobile title in some situations. Experiences may vary, but certain jobs can help trainers find and catch certain Pokemon in addition to other benefits.

It's no secret that Pokemon GO focuses heavily on geolocation, and some trainers can take advantage of this in their real-world jobs to capitalize in-game. Meanwhile, other professions offer benefits surrounding Pokestops, gyms, research, Routes, Party Play, and more, so it doesn't hurt to take a look at some of the best professions to have while playing Niantic's flagship mobile game.

The best professions to have as a Pokemon GO player

1) Pilot

Many creatures in Pokemon GO are restricted to appearing in certain parts of the world, making the job of an international flight pilot an incredibly lucrative profession for trainers. During times when trainers aren't actively flying a plane, there should be time to encounter region-exclusive monsters and catch them.

This, in turn, can make trainers quite popular when it comes to trading and sending different gift postcards as well, as they'll be trekking across the globe collecting Pokemon and visiting Pokestops, which many trainers can't do without substantial personal travel costs.

2) Dog Walker

Taking care of real-world pets can net some quality returns in Pokemon GO since trainers will be doing a lot of walking. While they're out walking pups for their clients, dog walkers can rack up plenty of rewards from their buddy Pokemon while also stopping by various Pokestops and gyms, and that's just the tip of the iceberg for this profession.

In addition to the above benefits, trainers can make plenty of daily progress toward hatching their incubating eggs, and when the situation arises, they may even be able to travel down a few in-game Routes and collect some Zygarde Cells in the process.

3) Driver

While, for safety reasons, Pokemon GO players shouldn't play the game while they're driving (the game even locks players from playing by going a certain speed), it doesn't mean that being a driver is a terrible profession for playing the game. Specifically, while drivers stop for deliveries or pick-ups/drop-offs, they can take a little time to engage with Pokestops/gyms or catch a few Pokemon.

Moreover, using an auto-catcher like the Pokemon GO Plus+ can allow players to automatically catch Pokemon and interact with stops without pulling out their device on the job. Every so often, the game's GPS tracking might also reward drivers with some egg hatch or buddy distance despite the fact they may be moving too fast to collect it most of the time.

4) Mobile Device Sales

Due to longstanding partnerships with mobile providers like Verizon, many mobile device stores double as Pokestops in Pokemon GO. This gives employees of said shops some of the best opportunities to collect tons of items, and trainers who have lure modules to spare can also attach them to the stop to rack up plenty of Pokestop spawns if they have some time to do so.

Moreover, mobile device stores often have various promotions where special items or other goodies can be obtained from their Pokestops, and no rule says employees can't take part, albeit when they don't have other outstanding tasks at hand.

5) Pokemon Master

Okay, so maybe "Pokemon Master" isn't exactly a job that people apply for in the real world, but it's a profession in the sense that it represents the dedication a player is willing to dedicate to the game. No matter what real-world job a player might have, being a Pokemon Master is all about dedicating time and effort to Niantic's mobile title and doing everything possible to succeed.

While certain factors like finances and location can be hurdles at times, a Pokemon Master does their best to defy the odds and play as much as possible. Many even travel to real-world GO events when appropriate. All things considered, while this may not be a paid profession in the real world, it's the biggest in-game profession among the game's most committed fans.

Sooner or later, trainers who are among the game's most dedicated will ultimately reap more rewards and benefits than a casual player.
