While any member of these creatures' species will be fine for Raid Battles or challenging Team GO Rocket members, the real ordeal comes for players who intend on using these Legendaries for competitive play. To maintain competition, many will want to grind these raids until they find one of these creatures with maximum IVs, giving it better stats.

The best possible outcome from this raid is a Shiny Pokemon with perfect, or 100% IVs. This has led to the community term, "Shundo". The odds of getting a Shundo Origin Dialga or Palkia is 1 in 4,320 or a 0.023% chance. This is decreased even further if players want a Shundo with its event-exclusive move, taking the odds down to a 0.0023% chance.

For reference, these odds are less than finding a Shiny Pokemon in the current main series titles, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Needless to say, competitive players in search of a Shiny Origin Dialga or Palkia have their work cut out for them. Even finding one of these creatures with perfect IVs and their signature move only has a minuscule 0.04% chance of occurring.
