The only significant partnership of the innings came between Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler, who scored a half-century.
After the partnership broke, Rajasthan Royals kept on losing wickets on a regular basis and could set a target of 153 runs only.
In an almost must-win game, Rajasthan Royals were facing the Kings XI Punjab for the first time in this year's IPL.

Stoinis provided able support to Rahul as he scored 23 runs in 16 balls and helped Rahul chase down the score with eight balls to spare.
