History
On the August 22, 2011 episode of Raw, R-Truth and The Miz ambushed Santino Marella, alleging a WWE conspiracy against them and criticizing COO Triple H's management. They formed a team dubbed "The Awesome Truth" and targeted CM Punk on the August 29 episode. Announcing a title match against Air Boom for the WWE Tag Team Championship at Night of Champions on September 5, they lost via disqualification. Seeking revenge, they interfered in Triple H and CM Punk's match, assaulting them and the referees. Despite apologizing to Triple H on Raw, they were fired after losing a match against Punk and John Cena, then later attacked Triple H backstage and were ejected from the building.
At the end of Hell in a Cell 2011's main event, R-Truth and The Miz sneaked in wearing black hoodies and attacked Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, and John Cena inside the cell. The WWE roster, led by Triple H, tried to get in, but the police had to open the door. Truth and Miz were arrested, and Triple H also got physical. They later apologized on YouTube, saying they wanted their jobs back and accused Triple H of attacking them unfairly. They were reinstated by John Laurinaitis on Raw. At Vengeance, they defeated CM Punk and Triple H with Kevin Nash's help. They then attacked Cena during a match, leading to a feud. On Raw, they assaulted Zack Ryder, leading to a tag team match at Survivor Series. Cena chose The Rock as his partner, and they defeated R-Truth and The Miz at Survivor Series.
Split and Feud
On the December 26 episode of Raw, R-Truth turned good guy and attacked Miz after Miz lost to John Cena by not making it back into the ring. Next Raw, Truth sneaked in from the crowd and attacked Miz while he was fighting Sheamus. Then, on January 9, Miz attacked Truth after Truth attacked Ricardo Rodriguez. But Truth fought back, and Miz ran away. On January 16, during SuperShow, both Wade Barrett and Miz attacked Truth until Sheamus came to help. The SmackDown boss then set up a match with Truth, Miz, Barrett, and Sheamus to preview the Royal Rumble. Truth won that match by throwing both Miz and Sheamus out of the ring last. On January 23, Truth beat Miz to become the first person in the 2012 Royal Rumble, closing the argument.
Reunion (2024-Present)
On the Day 1 episode of Raw, Miz teamed up with his old partner R-Truth and won against The Judgment Day, represented by Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. Then, at the Royal Rumble on January 27, Miz joined the men's Royal Rumble match at number 25 . He lasted six minutes before Gunther eliminated him.
On the following episode of Raw, Miz tried to help Truth when The Judgment Day attacked him, but they both got beaten up. On March 18's Raw, Miz and Truth entered with their old team song and beat Indus Sher (Veer and Sanga). This win qualified them for the six-pack ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XL.
