Amy Wang's Olympic Journey

Born on December 2, 2002, in Sewell, New Jersey, Wang started playing table tennis at just four years old. Her family has a strong connection to the sport, with her father, Xiaota Wang, having played professionally before becoming Amy's coach.

Wang's first taste of Olympic-level competition came at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. There, she competed in both singles and mixed team events, finishing in respectable positions against international competition.
