Hailing from Great Falls, Montana, Cameron Wood is an American BMC cyclist, who started riding BMX when he was just three years old. He has played all sports, be it basketball, football, skiing, golf, track & field, and motocross, but among all these the love of Wood’s life was BMX. He loved riding BMX during the winters and he would make long drives to Utah with his parents to ride his BMX in the indoor tracks. He passionately followed his goal and now is heading to the Paris Olympics 2024.

In June 2024, the USA Cycling revealed the roster for the USA Olympics team and they decided the names after analyzing two years of competition and the last few races in May 2024 to recognize the cyclist who fits the quota. Two men and three women will be representing Team USA in the 2024 Summer Games, and one of them is Cameron Wood. The cyclist was fond of competition from a very young age and always wanted to bring out his competitiveness in everything. Be it a cycling round during his recess or his BMX race, he gave his best effort. According to USA Cycling, Wood feels that mindset since childhood has helped him become the person he is today.

The cyclist with a height of 5’11” credits his parents for his success and his interest in the sport. He has been talented since a very young age and won a US Open title for 7- 8 years old at the age of 6. His most recent World Championship participation was in 2022, where he finished ninth in the men’s individual race and won a silver in the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games in BMX racing. The cyclist will next be seen competing at the Paris Olympics, which is slated for July 26 - August 11.
