Caroline Pamukcu Family

Caroline Pamukcu (neé Martin), born on December 8, 1994, is an American equestrian who specializes in eventing. She hails from Springtown, Pennsylvania, United States. Caroline started riding at the age of four but focused her energies on eventing at the age of 14. She is a Pan American Games individual gold medalist and silver team medalist. She was named United States Eventing Association Young Rider of the Year four times. She competes with three horses named HSH Blake, Islandwood Captain Jack, and Quantum Solace. In 2009, Caroline stopped riding horses because she moved abroad to pursue further studies. When she returned from South America, she found a horse named Quantum Solace through Buck Davidson. They won individual and team gold medals at the 2013 Adequan/FEI North American Youth Championships. The next year, at 17, Caroline became the youngest rider on the USEF Eventing High-Performance Training list.

In 2014, Caroline and Quantum Solace placed fifth in their first CCI3 event. In 2016, they finished 10th at the Bramham Horse Trials Under 25 CCI3 event and later competed in their first CCI4* at the Kentucky Three-Day Event. In 2017, Caroline received a grant to compete in Europe. She entered her first CCI5 event at the Kentucky Three-Day Event with Spring Easy and represented the U.S. in the FEI Eventing Nations Cup at Houghton Hall with Pebbly Maximus. She also performed well in the Bramham CCI4-L with Pebbly Maximus and The Apprentice.

Since becoming a professional, Caroline has competed in international events like Aachen CCIO4-S (Germany), Millstreet CCI4*-L (Ireland), Blair Castle CCI4*-S (England), Strzegom CCIO4-S (Poland), and the Mondial Du Lion World Breeding Championships (France). In 2022, Caroline moved to the UK to train with Pippa Funnell, and In 2023, she and HSH Blake were chosen for the U.S. Eventing team for the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, where they won the individual gold medal. They were also picked for the U.S. eventing team for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
