Dana Lynn Rettke is an American professional volleyball player born on the 21st of January 1999, playing in the Vero Volley Monza Italian Serie A1 League. Rettke also set records as the first five-time AVCA First Team All-American while still at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Rettke started playing basketball and volleyball in Riverside Brookfield High School where she proved to be a great player. Even though several Big Ten basketball schools showed interest in her, she decided to concentrate her energy on volleyball. During her sophomore year, Rettke joined Wisconsin Badgers through which she achieved multiple achievements such as becoming All-Big Ten in each of her five years. Rettke is a middle-blocker. In her freshman year, she achieved an average of 4. 39 points, 3. 42 kills, and 1. 37 blocks per set. She climaxed at energizing the Badgers to the first NCAA national championship in December 2021. She was an NCAA Final Four All-Tournament member and received the Honda Sports Award for women’s volleyball.

At the international level, Rettke has played for Team USA in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League held in 2019 and helped the team clinch the gold medal. She also contributed to the qualification of the Team USA for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Rettke continued her professional career in Italy by joining Vero Volley Monza in 2022.

Her height allows her to reach over the net and effectively block opposing hitters making it difficult for them to score. Her height also enables her to excel at slide attacks where she quickly approaches the ball from the back of the court and jumps to hit at an angle using her height to deliver strong and deceptive shots. Rettke's height also benefits her offensive game. She can hit powerful spikes from a higher point of contact making it challenging for defenders to block or dig her shots.
