Keith Sanderson is an American sport shooter who will be representing Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics as a member of the U.S. Olympic shooting team. Professionally, Keith is a member of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program and began shooting in 1996 in U.S. Marine Corps matches. Remarkably, Sanderson holds the rank of Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and serves as the chief marksman instructor at the USMC base in Hawaii. It was around the same time that he started practising as a shooter and began competing in shooting events in 2005.

Incredibly, Keith Sanderson is a three-time Olympian, having competed in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event at the Beijing 2008 (5th place), London 2012 (14th place), and Rio de Janeiro 2016 (10th place) Olympic Games. His extensive World Championship experience includes participation from 2006 to 2023 in various events, such as the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, 25m Standard Pistol, and 25m Center Fire Pistol, both individually and in teams. Notably, he secured a bronze medal in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Team event in 2010. His most recent World Championship results in 2023 placed him 34th in the 25m Standard Pistol and 35th in the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol.

His personal and national coach is Sergey Luzov. Besides sport shooting, Keith also participates in air pistol and service rifle activities. Interestingly, Keith is right-handed and has a right master eye.
