When one talks about professional wrestling, it goes without saying that fans are an integral part of the show. A wrestling bout being played out inside an empty arena isn't something any wrestler would want to associate themselves with. The live crowd is a major factor in making the event a memorable one. This has been proven time and again over the course of the past several years.

The biggest event of the year, WrestleMania, boasts tens of thousands of fans packed inside stadiums to watch the action unfold. It only gets better on the night after, when fans from all over the world take over Monday Night Raw. There have been a string of moments that have gained legendary status thanks to fan involvement. The Rock vs Hollywood Hogan from WrestleMania 18 immediately comes to mind.

On the other hand, there have also been several iconic moments in wrestling history, that were ruined by fan interference. Let's take a look at four of them.

The exciting contest is always mentioned in lists featuring greatest matches of both RVD and Eddie. During the match, a fan rushed inside the ring and almost threw Eddie Guerrero off the ladder before secrity could contain him. Guerrero responded by attacking him while the referee held him from behind. This didn't deter the two incredibly talented athletes to produce an instant classic.

Bret Hart had already been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006. This time, he was getting inducted along with his friend, the late great Jim Neidhart.

This was a moment for the ages, and an incredibly emotional one for the entire Hart family. Neidhart was an integral part of Bret Hart's career, as the two formed one of the best tag teams in WWE history, The Hart Foundation. As Bret Hart delivered a heartfelt speech remembering his lost friend, a fan sprinted inside the ring and attacked him. Thankfully, a barrage of wrestlers and security managed to contain the fan before he could cause serious damage.
