Moxley was heavily critical of backstage writers in pro-wrestling. He stated that writers shouldn't exist in professional wrestling.

The reasoning Moxley gave in support of his statement was that no one knows a character better than the wrestler who is actually portraying it in and out of the ring, and a writer dictating them on what to do with said character wouldn't help the wrestler.

Monday Night Raw
Monday Night Raw

One of the biggest complaints wrestling fans have with WWE is the length of Monday Night Raw. Every single episode runs three hours. Although it does bring in those extra millions in the form of ad revenue, it doesn't help the product, according to Moxley.

On the Raw after WrestleMania 35, Michael Hayes told Moxley to bid goodbye to the crowd. Moxley was thinking in his head that he was bidding goodbye to Hayes, Vince, and others backstage, not the fans.

I'm not saying goodbye to them, I'm saying goodbye to you. This is the night after Mania crowd, half of them (if not more) are probably going to be at Double or Nothing.

#5 He cut the backstage AEW promo in one go

Moxley said that the "paradigm shift" promo he cut soon after Double Or Nothing was done in a single take. No writers were assigned and no approval was needed.

Moxley felt a sense of awkwardness during his final days in WWE. The higher-ups were making him go out there and bid goodbye to the fans, on several occasions.
