Seth Rollins Royal Rumble Appearances

Seth Rollins is one of WWE’s most decorated superstars and one of the biggest names in professional wrestling. He made his wrestling debut back in 2004 on the independent circuit and then joined Ring of Honor as Tyler Black. In 2010, he was signed by WWE and soon made his main roster debut alongside other members of The Shield.

In WWE, Rollins is a Double Grand Slam Champion, has won the Royal Rumble match, has won the Money in the Bank briefcase, has been a dual champion on multiple occasions, and scored a victory over stars like Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, John Cena, Triple H, and more.

Seth Rollins Royal Rumble Appearances - Wins, Losses, and Stats

Seth Rollins has competed in six Royal Rumble matches, ahead of Royal Rumble 2025. He won one Royal Rumble in 2019, where he last eliminated Braun Strowman to win the match. His first Royal Rumble match was in 2014, where he survived for 48 minutes and 31 seconds, Rollins’ personal best in the Rumble. In total, Rollins has spent two hours and 41 minutes inside the Royal Rumble match, as of January 2025.

Royal Rumble 2023 - 4th Place

Seth Rollins entered the 2023 Royal Rumble match at number 15 and survived for over 37 minutes. During this time, he managed to eliminate Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin. However, Rollins was surprisingly eliminated by Logan Paul, who was not yet a full-time WWE performer. This led to a singles match between the two superstars at WrestleMania, where Rollins settled his dues with Paul.

Royal Rumble 2021 - 3rd Place

Seth Rollins was the second-last entrant in the 2021 Royal Rumble match. The event is remembered for having taken place inside the Thunderdome. Rollins eliminated three superstars - Riddle, Daniel Bryan, and the returning Christian. However, Christian’s partner Edge eliminated Seth Rollins as the second runner-up and went on to win the match. Rollins survived this Rumble for eight minutes and 48 seconds.

Royal Rumble 2020 - 5th Place

In 2020, Seth Rollins formed his faction, which involved Buddy Murphy and the authors of Pain. He took the help of his friends in the Royal Rumble match as well. After entering at number 30, Rollins and his team caused the eliminations of Samoa Joe, Aleister Black, and Kevin Owens. However, their terror lasted for less than five minutes as Rollins was eliminated by the eventual winner Drew McIntyre. This marked the first time Rollins was eliminated from the Rumble by someone other than Roman Reigns.

Royal Rumble 2019 - Winner

Seth Rollins entered the 2019 Royal Rumble match at number 10 and spent 43 minutes before winning. He eliminated Elias, Bobby Lashley, and eventually Braun Strowman to win his first Royal Rumble match. Rollins would go on to challenge Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania and win his first Universal Championship.

Royal Rumble 2018 - 9th Place

In 2018, Seth Rollins entered the Royal Rumble match after four years. He entered at number 18. Rollins eliminated Cesaro and then teamed up with his Shield partner Roman Reigns to eliminate The Miz. However, Reigns turned on Rollins and eliminated him.

Royal Rumble 2014 - 5th Place

Seth Rollins entered the 2014 Royal Rumble match at number two, and this was his first-ever appearance in the match. Alone and coupled with other wrestlers, Rollins caused the elimination of Rey Mysterio, The Great Khali, and Alexander Rusev. He completed 48 minutes and 37 seconds in the match before being eliminated. Due to confusion between the members of The Shield, Roman Reigns eliminated both Rollins and Ambrose.
