The Firefly Fun House match seemingly hinted at the end of John Cena's in-ring career and the 16-time WWE Champion's social media activity have only gone on to add fuel to fire.

However, Cena may not be done with WWE just yet.

On the latest edition of Sportskeeda's Dropkick DiSKussions podcast with Tom Colohue, Korey Gunz and special guest Rick Ucchino, Tom revealed that John Cena will readily return to WWE TV if the company gives him a phone call to come back.

There were not even any plans for Cena to wrestle at WrestleMania up until January, however, the Cenation Leader wanted to come back and put a Superstar over at the Show of Shows.

Bray Wyatt was chosen and what we got was one of the most innovative matches in WWE history.

Tom revealed:

We should be reading that into it because that's what he wants us to read into it but this is not John Cena's technical retirement match. John Cena will only ever be as retired from the WWE as The Rock is retired from the WWE. At any time, he may get a phone call saying, 'Can you come back and out this person over?', and he'll absolutely do that. He lobbied to get involved at WrestleMania, he wasn't down for a match even as early as January they didn't have anything planned for him but he wanted to come in and put someone over and they ended up working this out.

Cena at this point is not technically retired but this is just another example of him trying to put over someone a little bit more.
