Billy Gunn, born Monty Kip Sopp on November 1, 1963, is currently under contract with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a professional wrestler. During his WWF/WWE and NXT days (1993–2004; 2012–2015), he also worked as a coach. Gunn wrestled under TNA promotion between 2005 and 2009.

Gunn is also the current AEW World Trios Champions, with Max Caster and Anthony Bowens as The Acclaimed, defeating The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) in August 2023.

As a tag team champion with three different partners—Bart Gunn as The Smoking Gunns, Road Dogg as The New Age Outlaws, and Chuck Palumbo as Billy and Chuck—Gunn has won 11 tag team championships altogether in the WWE.

Gunn was brought on as a coach by All Elite Wrestling in January 2019. On May 25, at the AEW Double or Nothing event, he competed in the pre-show battle royal. In the AEW "Dynamite" episode from November 20, 2019, Gunn made his debut on television by participating in a battle royal.

Gunn has won 14 titles in the WWE overall, including two World Hardcore titles and a former WWF Intercontinental title. Along with being a part of D-Generation X, he also won the 1999 King of the Rings tournament and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019.

He studied at Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida, where he received training as a bull rider. In his early 20s, Sopp gave up his career as a professional bull rider in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association to focus on his professional wrestling career.
