Kagurabachi chapter 42 recap

The chapter titled Everything begins with a scene from the past, where Tafuku asks Hiyuki whether she can kill Chihiro Rokuhira after the mission. The Flame-bone user says she has to, otherwise he won't hand over the blades.

Tafuku feels Chihiro won't ever point his blade at Hiyuki, so he wonders if the sorcerer can eliminate someone with such conviction. Hiyuki regrets not killing Chihiro earlier but assures Tafuku that she won't hesitate the next time.

Back at the auction room, the Kamunabi sorcerers observe Kyora slowly losing his group. They wonder how the sorcerer can wield Shinuchi in such a terrible condition.

One of the sorcerers, who have witnessed the horrors of the Seitei war, reveals that what they saw of Shinuchi is nothing compared to what it can actually accomplish. Suddenly, Kyora's preview and the giant screen disappear from the stage.

The narrative switches to the Storehouse, where Chihiro realizes that the subspace is crumbling with every passing second. Kyora tries hard to prevent Shinuchi/the original swordsman, from taking over his consciousness.

Hiyuki suggests to Chihiro that they must kill Kyora before it's too late. They charge at the Kyora but find themselves transported to the auction room, along with the sorcerer.

Following that, the chapter shows Kyora Sazanami demonstrating Shinuchi's powers to create a garden of deathly flowers, which devours many spectators. Shiba returns to Hakuri's aid and observes the scene. Hiyuki, too, reunites with Hakuri and suggests they must eliminate the Sazanami clan head.

However, Hakuri feels it's unwise, considering that Shinuchi's corrosion greatly affects the Storehouse's space. The sorcerer speculates that if they end Kyora's life, the subspace will disintegrate, taking along with it the prisoners.

As such, the only solution is for someone to go inside and infuse Spirit Energy into every prisoner so that Hakuri can bring them back. Yet, the sorcerer feels it's a suicidal mission since Kyora might barely hold on for a few seconds.

However, Chihiro doesn't want any innocent lives to be lost due to the Enchanted Blade. Hakuri hears Chihiro's resolve, and he sends him there. The chapter ends with the Enten-user diving to save Mr. Inazuma's elder sister from falling to death.

What to expect in Kagurabachi chapter 43? (Speculative)

The latest chapter has nicely poised the narrative for Kagurabachi chapter 43. Since Kyora can barely hold the Storehouse for a few seconds, Chihiro must hurry and imbue his Spirit Energy to every prisoner inside.

Kagurabachi chapter 43 will likely show Chihiro Rokuhira demonstrating Nishiki to give himself the physical boost needed to accomplish his mission. On the other hand, Kyora Sazanami's actions are no longer his own.

There's a possibility the chapter might show him being possessed by either the Shinuchi's powers or the original sword saint. In any case, Kagurabachi chapter 43 promises to contain plenty of action.
