On Friday, June 6, 2025, the official website and X account for Gachiakuta anime unveiled a new promotional video. The short clip revealed the anime's additional cast, its July 6, 2025, debut date, and its theme songs. Additionally, the staff shared the main visual and details about the show's worldwide advance premiere.
Produced by BONES FILMS, Gachiakuta anime is an adaptation of the dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Kei Urana. Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine has been serializing the manga since 2022, with 15 volumes released thus far.

According to the latest promotional video from the official staff, Gachiakuta anime will air its episodes every Sunday at 11:30 pm JST on CBC, TBS, and affiliated channels, starting July 6, 2025.
Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream the series in North America, South America, Central America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, CIS (excluding Belarus and Russia), the Middle East, and India.
Before its television broadcast, Gachiakuta anime will have an advanced screening in 15 countries. Crunchyroll has revealed a partial list of the countries:

More details about the remaining countries and the timings will be announced later. The original manga creator, Kei Urana, and the graffiti designer, Hideyoshi Ando, will attend the premiere at Anime Expo 2025, alongside the producer, Naoki Amano. The staff also unveiled a video featuring Kei Urana and Ando, revealing their ideologies about the work.

Coming to the latest Gachiakuta anime trailer, the short clip shows the moment when Rudo is thrown into the Ground after being falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit. The PV also captures Rudo and Enjin's first meeting on the Ground.
Furthermore, the trailer shows how Enjin recruits Rudo into the Cleaners organization. Additionally, the short clip includes Regto, Jabber, Semiu, and other important characters who will appear in the series.

Toshiyuki Morikawa has joined the voice cast as Regto, Rudo's foster parent. Regto is an integral character in the series, responsible for Rudo's growth. The other new cast member is Jabber, one of the menacing members of the Raiders, who has a violent obsession with fighting.
The previously announced cast members are Aoi Ichikawa as Rudo, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Zanka, Yumiri Hanamori as Riyo, and Katsuyuki Konishi as Enjin.
The trailer also reveals and previews the anime's opening theme song, HUGs, performed by the band Paledusk. Meanwhile, DUSTCELL has sung the ending theme song, Tomoshibi. These two songs are specifically composed for the Gachiakuta anime.
Furthermore, the official staff unveiled the main visual for the Gachiakuta anime. The illustration depicts Rudo, Zanka, Enjin, and Riyo's wide range of expressions. Undoubtedly, the visual captures the funky and goofy vibe of the main cast.
Fumihiko Saganuma helms the dark fantasy anime at BONES FILMS, with Satoshi Ishino in charge of the character designs as the chief animation director. Hiroshi Seko is listed as the scriptwriter and series composer, while Taku Iwasaki is the show's music composer.
A brief synopsis of the Gachiakuta anime

Based on Kei Urana's manga, Gachiakuta anime follows the story of Rudo, a shabby boy living in the slums of a floating world called the Sphere. Rudo's daily life includes picking up trash and other items under the care of his foster parent, Regto.
However, everything changes one day when Rudo is falsely accused of a crime he hasn't committed. The accusers sent him into the depths of an abyss called the Ground. Rudo miraculously survives the fall and encounters monsters known as Trash Beasts.
At Ground, Arthur meets Enjin, who invites him to join the Cleaners. The series explores Rudo's vengeance, as he desires a way to get back to the Ground and seek revenge against the ones who wronged him.
