Michael Nelson Trout, also known as Mike Trout, is a professional baseball center fielder who plays for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Born on August 7, 1991, in Vineland, New Jersey, Mike was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the first round of the 2009 MLB draft. Mike has only gone from strength to strength since entering the majors and is widely regarded as one of the best players in MLB currently. He is an eleven-time MLB All-Star, three-time American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP), and a nine-time winner of the Silver Slugger Award.

Mike signed a 12-year, $426 million contract with the Los Angeles Angels, the second-richest contract in the history of North American sports and fourth in professional sports in general (and the second-biggest contract at the time of signing), in 2019.

Mike is a gifted all-rounder. He is a great hitter, a great fielder, and a great baserunner. He has also captained the United States national team during the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
