Isaac Edgardo Paredes Calderón is a Mexican professional baseball infielder. He is currently signed to the Tampa Bay Rays roster of Major League Baseball (MLB). Born February 18, 1999, in Hermosillo, Mexico, Paredes started playing baseball at a very young age and was signed by the Chicago Cubs in July 2015 as an international free agent. He made his professional debut a year later in 2016 with the Arizona League Cubs. In 47 games with them, he posted a .305 batting average with one home run and 26 RBIs. Paredes started 2017 with the South Bend Cubs after playing three games with them in the previous season.

Paredes was traded to the Detroit Tigers on July 31, 2017, alongside Jeimer Candelario in exchange for Alex Avila and Justin Wilson. He was sent out to the West Michigan Whitecaps for the remainder of the season. He played for the Yaquis de Obregón of the Mexican Pacific League (LMP) after the conclusion of the 2017 season. In 2018, he split times Lakeland Flying Tigers and Erie SeaWolves. In 123 combined games, he hit .278 with 15 home runs and 70 RBIs. The following season, Paredes began the season with Erie SeaWolves. He was also named to the 2019 All-Star Futures Game. Paredes was added to the Tigers' 40-man squad at the end of 2019, and made his MLB debut with them on August 17, 2020, against the Chicago White Sox. His first major league home run was a grand slam against the Cleveland Indians on 21, August that year. He hit .220 with one home run and six RBIs in the 2020 season. A couple of seasons later, Paredes was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays on April 4, 2022.

Internationally, Paredes represents the Mexican national team. He played in the 2023 World Baseball Classic and batted .375/.444/.500 through the tournament. He won bronze in what was Mexico's best-ever performance in a World Baseball Classic.
