After graduating from high school, Johnson committed to play college basketball at the University of Utah and joined the Utah Utes. According to her college roster, in her junior year (2023-24), Johnson was named a Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention. She finished the season averaging 8.9 points and leading the team in rebounding in 12 games throughout the season.
