In 15 games, he shot 40% (4-for-10) from three-point range and 50% (13-for-26) from the field as a sophomore.

After playing for Loyola for two seasons, Paxson transferred to the Brown Bears. He played in 27 games during his rookie campaign, averaging 9.6 points and 3 rebounds per contest. In his second season, he served as one of the team's captains. He started all 27 games and finished second on the team with 14.9 points, 57 three-pointers, and 7.2 rebounds per game.
