Tre Mitchell is a professional basketball power forward who went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft. Mitchell plays for the Löwen Braunschweig team in the Basketball Bundesliga. He signed with Löwen Braunschweig in August 2024. Mitchell attended Elizabeth Forward High School but later transferred to Woodstock Academy in Connecticut. As a senior, he was named the Connecticut Gatorade Player of the Year and Power 5 Conference AAA Player of the Year. Graduating as a four-star recruit, he received scholarships from Indiana, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, and Providence, among others.

Mitchell opted for the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2019-2021. In his two seasons with the program, he totaled 792 points and 315 rebounds. He then transferred to the University of Texas at Austin, averaging 8.7 points and four rebounds per game in 2021-2022. The following season, he entered the transfer portal once again and moved to West Virginia University, averaging 11.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game as a senior. However, after the resignation of coach Bob Huggins, Mitchell transferred to the University of Kentucky in 2023-2024. Throughout his college career, he played in 102 games, starting 92, averaging 27.8 minutes per game, 48.3% field goal, 34.7% 3-point field goal, 5.9 rebounds per game, and 13.7 points per game.
