Max Johnson is an American quarterback playing for the Texas A&M Aggies. He was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, where he attended Oconee County High School. He was always amongst the top prep quarterbacks nationally. Throughout his high school career, he made 5,140 passing yards and 47 touchdowns. His senior year was spectacular, he led his team to the Georgia 4A State Title Game and became Georgia's 4A Offensive Player of the Year. Furthermore, Max is the son of Super Bowl-winning quarterback Brad Johnson and the nephew of former Georgia and Miami head coach Mark Richt. He began his collegiate career at Louisiana State University, demonstrating the brilliant potential that he had before transferring to Texas A&M.

During the 2021 season for the LSU Tigers, Johnson started all 12 games, showcasing some dazzling figures, completing 225 passes out of 373 attempts for a total of 2,815 passing yards and earning 27 touchdowns. His substantial performance against Central Michigan was one of the most dominating matches ever witnessed, wherein he hurled for 372 yards and five touchdowns. Max emerged as a crucial player for the Tigers' SEC by passing for 280 yards and four touchdowns. Significantly, he could deliver at the most decisive moment, he also contributed to three touchdown passes against Florida. His ability over the years showed his exponential growth and gave credence to his stature as an efficient and potent quarterback.
