Mike Elko is a collegiate football coach who has been appointed for the Texas A&M Aggies Football Team Since November 2023. Elko had a successful career for the Duke Blue Devils during the 2022-23 season. Prior to that, he worked at Texas A&M from 2018 to 2021 as the defensive coordinator. He gained coaching experience from several elite programs such as Notre Dame and Wake Forest, earning the reputation of defensive coach. Elko served as a defensive coordinator for Notre Dame in 2017 and Wake Forest from 2014 to 2016, during which he transformed the defenses for both teams. Mike is a native of South Brunswick, New Jersey, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in history. During his college career at Penn, he played as a safety. His offensive line was also notable as they were among the Power 5 programs. The Dukes were ranked 12th in the number of sacks allowed, recording 1.31 sacks per game.
