#6 Rohit Sharma's ex-Mumbai teammate: Abhishek Nayar

Abhishek Nayar and Rohit Sharma played domestic cricket together for Mumbai. Abhishek made his first-class debut before Rohit, but he received a place in the Indian ODI team for the first time in 2009, two years after Sharma's debut.

Nayar played three ODIs for the Men in Blue. However, he got a chance to bat only once, where he remained unbeaten on 0*. With the ball, Nayar remained wicketless in the three overs he bowled. He never played an ODI for India after 2009, and ten years following his last ODI, Nayar retired.


#7 Sudeep Tyagi

Sudeep Tyagi was selected in the Indian ODI squad after his impressive performances for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. The right-arm fast bowler played his first ODI against Sri Lanka on December 27, 2009.

He could only play four ODI matches in his career, where he scalped three wickets. Tyagi's best figures were 1/15, while his economy rate was 5.23. Like many others on this list, Sudeep did not return to the Indian ODI side after losing his place. He retired from international cricket in November 2020.


#8 Rohit Sharma's ex-Mumbai Indians teammate: Vinay Kumar

Vinay Kumar and Rohit Sharma were teammates at Mumbai Indians for quite some time. The two players even represented the Indian cricket team together in the ODI format.

Vinay made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in May 2010. He played 31 ODIs by November 2013. But Vinay was dropped from the team after returning with figures of 9-0-102-1 in an ODI against Australia in Bengaluru in 2013. Incidentally, Rohit Sharma scored his first ODI double ton in that game. Vinay could never regain his place in the ODI squad and retired on February 27, 2021.


#9 Ashok Dinda

Ashok Dinda made his ODI debut with Vinay Kumar in a match against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. Interestingly, both Dinda and Kumar played their last ODI matches in 2013 and retired in February 2021.

Dinda played 13 ODI matches, dismissing 12 opposition batsmen. He was India's most successful bowler in his last ODI match. Playing against England in Rajkot, Dinda returned with figures of 2/53 in eight overs. None of the other Indian bowlers could take more than one wicket in that game.


#10 Naman Ojha

Naman Ojha played the only ODI of his career against Sri Lanka in June 2010. The wicket-keeper batsman opened the innings for India but scored only one run off seven deliveries.

Ojha played a Test for India in 2015, but he never donned the blue jersey for the nation after 2010. The 37-year-old finally retired in February 2021.
