He also holds the record for the scoring the fastest 50, fastest 100 and also fastest 150 in the ODI format.

He is a 360-degree batsman who can hit the ball all over the ground irrespective of the bowler.

De Villiers can be very aggressive with the bat when he is in fine touch. He has grown as a player to become one of South Africa's greatest batsman.

He is also a live-wire in his position. Be it his electric fielding, handy wicketkeeping or complete batting skills, he is an all-round package.

The South African can also provide some valuable guidance and tips to the other players when needed.

He has also become a mainstay in the Royal Challengers' Bangalore squad. He was bought by the Royal Challengers for a tremendous amount of 7 crores in the 2011 IPL auction after being released by the Delhi Daredevils. He has proved to be worthy of every single penny.

During his time with Delhi Daredevils, he got to play a total of 21 matches in the first two editions of the IPL before being sold to the Royal Challengers. He scored a total of 560 runs with a staggering average of 51.66.

Selling him would definitely be a hard fact for team management to digest. Had they kept him, they could have found solutions to Delhi's never-ending batting woes.
