The Windies all-rounder has returned to competitive cricket after following a one-year ban from ICC. Russell is a highly anticipated all-rounder who can deliver the goods and also turn the tides.

He is greatly remembered for providing the final touch against India in the semi-finals of the 2016 T20 world cup.

He can play the role of a finisher as well as a specialist bowler in death overs.

Russell is also one of the two players to be retained by the KKR ahead of the 2018 IPL auction.

He is a hard-hitter of the ball and can dispatch it out of the stadium. He is also the lone bowler to take four wickets in four balls in the history of T20 cricket.

He has played 35 matches in the IPL, where he has scored 589 runs at a mind-blowing strike rate of 172.22.

He has also scalped 31 wickets at an economy of 8.45. This is more than what the team wants from an all-rounder.

The KKR were lucky to fetch him at a bargain price of 60 lakhs in the 2014 IPL auction. It would be a hard fact for Delhi Daredevils to digest as they have lost a player of such caliber and tremendous abilities.
