In 2013, 23-year-old Siddharth Kaul made his IPL debut for Delhi Daredevils. He was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2012 auction but never got a single game for them.

Finally, he got his first match for DD in 2013. However, his time in the DD camp wasn’t very memorable. He was only given 6 matches to showcase his skills, which wasn’t enough considering his level of experience.
He picked up 4 wickets in these 6 games with an economy of 7.78. This seems to be a trend that Delhi follows every year where they prematurely drop a player only after a couple of games.

In 2014 season, he played fewer matches. In the 5 matches he played, he only scalped 2 wickets at an economy rate of 9.69.
He was dropped the following year only to return 2 years later wearing the Sunrisers Hyderabad jersey. This time he was a seasoned campaigner in the domestic circuit and was given a chance to shine. He has been getting better each year, which makes us wonder what would’ve happened had he stayed with the Delhi Daredevils for a couple more years.

A wrestling aficionado since childhood, Sunil used to imitate his favorite wrestlers as a young kid, and started writing professionally about the sport via Sportskeeda’s revenue-sharing opportunity.
Sunil admires former world champions AJ Styles, Will Ospreay, and Kenny Omega for their ability to consistently deliver great matches as well as entertain crowds with their mic skills.
If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
Always focused on making his work accurate and reliable, Sunil thoroughly checks his facts before writing his articles. When not writing for pro wrestling, he spends his time watching cricket.
