#1 Martin Guptill - Sunrisers Hyderabad

Another Sunrisers Hyderabad player appears on the list and this time he is none other than Martin Guptill. The enigmatic stroke-maker from Auckland has been one of the mainstays of New Zealand's batting in white-ball cricket over the years. He was the first Kiwi to smash an ODI century in a debut. As of February 2019, Guptill has scored the second most runs in T20I cricket. He was the highest scorer until his record was broken by Rohit Sharma.

The swashbuckling opener from New Zealand, Martin Guptill has not quite lived up to his credentials in the IPL. He has been a part of 2 seasons and managed just 189 runs in 10 games that include one half-century. SRH bought Guptill for ₹1 crore in this year's IPL auction. Acknowledging what Bairstow and Warner are doing up the order for SRH, it is quite unlikely that Guptill would any chance to showcase his prowess in the IPL. But, if given a chance he would want to set the stage on fire because he does have all the capabilities to do so.
