A red ball India debut is not far away for Rajneesh Gurbani

Rajneesh Gurbani was a revelation last year with Vidharba when he emerged as the top wicket-taker in the Ranji Trophy. Vidharba also won the Ranji Trophy for which Gurbani's contribution was immense.

Though he was expected to set up a bidding war in the previous auctions, it was a surprise when no IPL team selected him. The IPL teams may have been of the opinion that Rajneesh Gurbani was only a good Test bowler.

However, after performing well for India A and in the Vijay Hazare trophy, Gurbani could be bowling in the IPL next year.

Although a place in the World Cup squad is very unlikely, he could a be a regular in the Indian squad in the future.

Gurbani will have an opportunity to impress in the IPL and the Ranji season to debut for India next year. However, Gurbani will have to compete with the likes of Mohammed Siraj and Navdeep Saini to wear India colours.
