Manish Pandey, the right-handed middle-order batsman who began his career as an opener, was part of the Mumbai Indians squad in the 2008 edition of the IPL. He played 3 games for the Ambani-owned franchise, batting just twice, and the Karnataka batsman could manage just three runs and a duck.

Following this, the current Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman was transferred to the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the 2009 edition, Pandey made an unbeaten 114 becoming the first Indian to score a century in the IPL.

The 28-year-old boasts of a stellar record and in the 118 matches that he has played, he has accumulated 2499 runs at a strike-rate just shy of 120.
