David Warner had some cheeky moments in the game against Mumbai Indians

Before Pollard’s one-man show and Irfan Pathan’s last-over heroics, the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings in the last match of IPL’s UAE leg revolved around David Warner’s batting, and on more than one occasion, his theatrics.

Pollard stared at him after the left-hander had hit him for a straight four. Pollard never expect what was coming his way.

Even umpire Kumar Dharmasena wasn’t spared, getting hit by a straight smash by Warner, but saved from much severe consequences due to a deflection off Pollard’s hand.

Warner’s penchant for trying switch hits is well known. When he tried to be cheeky against Lasith Malinga, he guided it over short third-man with such ease he could be mistaken for a right-handed batsman. Though the fielder almost caught it, he probably never expected the outrageous stroke. The same shot eventually resulted in Warner’s dismissal.

He was then at loggerheads with Zaheer Khan, showing him clearly what he thought about his verbal volleys.

At the end of the same over, both were seen smiling at each other though, meaning all was well.
