Batting first, the Capitals were off to a strong start with Jake Fraser-McGurk breaking shackles to slam 84 off 27, while Abishek Porel (34) was a good support as well. Then, Shai Hope (41) and Tristan Stubbs (48*) were impressive to help DC post a daunting total of 257. Jasprit Bumrah was the most economical bowler for MI with figures of 1/35 in four overs.

In response, Rohit Sharma (8) was dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed early. Although, Ishan Kishan (20) and Suryakumar Yadav (28) started well, they couldn't convert it into a big knock.

Then, Hardik Pandya (46 off 24) and Tim David (37 off 17) were blistering with their knocks, but got dismissed at the wrong time. Moreover, Tilak Varma continued his scinitallting form to slam 63 off 32 balls, but MI could only manage to score 247. Rasikh Salam finished with figures of 3/34 and was Delhi's best bowler.

Interestingly, both teams scored their highest-ever totals in IPL. On that note, let's take a look at three best moments from the DC-MI game.

#1 Jake Fraser-McGurk at his dominating best

No one has been as dominant in his first five games as Jake Fraser-McGurk in the IPL history. The young Australian batter took out 19 runs in the first over bowled by Luke Wood, and then followed it up with smashing 18 against Jasprit Bumrah.

Fraser-McGurk went on to slam 84 off 27 balls, with 11 fours and six maximums, before getting dismissed by Piyush Chawla.

#2 Tristan Stubbs hits 26 runs off an over against Luke Wood

The Proteas batter, Tristan Stubbs is in his finest hitting form this season, as he certainly justified his role as a finisher for Delhi Capitals.

In the 18th over, Stubbs displayed his innovation to send good balls to boundaries via reverse scoops and also use his power to find boundaries towards the deep mid-wicket. He slammed five fours and a six to make it 26 runs off an over.

#3 Rasikh Salam's double-strike turns the game

In the middle-overs, Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma were threatening Delhi Capitals with their aggressive mindset to increase the team's tempo. However, the 13th over of the game by Rasikh Salam witnessed the game turning on its head.

The young pacer deceived Pandya with a slower ball, and made him caught at the point region. Then, Nehal Wadhera arrived at the crease and hit a four to get off the mark. Nevertheless, Salam found an edge of Wadhera, who tried to send the ball towards the third-man, but could only manage to get caught by keeper Rishabh Pant.
