Fantasy Matchday 14, CSK vs RR: 5 Best value-for-money and uncapped players

Kings XI registered their third home victory and maintained a clean record at Mohali this season. They will be moving to Indore for their remaining home games.

It was SRH’s first defeat of the season and they ensured that their net run rate was not hit badly yesterday. When Gayle gets going, it is hard to stop him, and gives you a bucketload of points, and we hope you had him in your team yesterday.

CSK will face RR at their new home, Pune, in today’s match. Hussey has said that there is a good amount of grass covering on the pitch and the ball is likely to come nicely onto the bat.

D'Arcy Short spent some time in the middle in the last game, but couldn’t help RR make a big score. Klassen for him would make sense and it will help Tripathi get back to his favored opening slot. Laughlin was also expensive for RR and Archer will replace him if fit.

Here are some of our suggestions for you while picking your squad for today’s game.

5 best value-for-money players

#1 Sanju Samson (7.4 M) – He is in very good form and is a mainstay of RR’s batting line up. His only IPL hundred came at Pune and he would hope to repeat the same today.

#2 Sam Billings (9.4 M) – He helped CSK win vs KKR but unfortunately got out early in the last game vs KXIP. He is a very good differential option at this price as fantasy players tend to go for Watson or Bravo.

#3 Ben Stokes (8.8 M) – Like Samson, Stokes’ only IPL century came at Pune. He seemed to be back to full fitness in the last game clocking above 140 kmph regularly while bowling. A must-have at that price.

#4 Shane Watson (11.6 M) – He is expensive, but is certainly worth the money. He looks in good touch with the bat and is always a handy option with the ball. He did not complete his quota of overs in the last game but generally does and picks up a lot of wickets too.

#5 Ambati Rayudu (9.9 M) – Rayudu has been very consistent in IPL 2018, performing in almost all the games. With rumours of Raina being back for today’s game, he is likely to open the batting again for CSK.

5 best uncapped players

#1 RA Tripathi (7.5 M) – He has batted in the middle order in the first few games but with Short not performing, he might get to open vs CSK.

#2 K Gowtham (5.6 M) – He got good points in the last game as he picked up two wickets and a decent cameo with the bat. Will he repeat the same tonight?

#3 Shreyas Gopal (6.7 M) – He was excellent against RCB as he gave away only 22 in his 4 overs, while picking up two wickets. He will look to exploit CSK’s weakness against leg spin.

#4 Deepak Chahar (9.1 M) – He was taken apart by Gayle in the last game, but he would have learnt his lessons. The might suit his swing bowling.

#5 KM Asif (6.6 M) – A lot was said about his potential to bowl fast when he was picked in the auction. Will he get a game today or will CSK give one more opportunity for Chahar?
