In the 32nd match of this IPL, they take on Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Gardens at Kolkata. Here’s the possible playing XI for Gautam Gambhir’s side:

Gautam GambhirThe latest holder of the Orange Cap, Gambhir has been leading his side from the front, with solid contributions at the top with the bat. Against the RCB, Gambhir admonished his side for a poor outing with the bat, and galvanised them to skittle the visitors for 49, the lowest IPL total ever.

Sunil NarineThe masterstroke of putting Narine up the order has worked wonders for the Riders thus far, with his pinch hitting skills coming to good use in the powerplays. He is currently the fourth highest run-getter for the team this season, scoring runs at a jaw-dropping average of 183.

With the ball, Narine has been average, not able to pack the same punch as he did with his old action.

Robin UthappaThe enterprising right-hander recently revealed his dream of playing for the Indian team once again, having last featured in the Indian team in 2015. He has been in stupendous form, sending three RPS batsmen packing with his stumping, and then returning to score a breezy 87 to take his side home.

Manish PandeyHe has been making all the right noises with the bat, enough to warrant him a chance in the middle order for the Champions Trophy. He is currently the third highest run-getter for KKR this season, having scored runs at an average of 87 and a strike rate of over 140.

Yusuf PathanThe bearded veteran has been entrusted with the responsibility of finishing off matches, for he has the ability to turn matches on their head with his explosive batting style. He scored a whirlwind fifty against the Delhi Daredevils earlier in this season, and will look to do the same in the second leg.

Suryakumar YadavThe only uncapped Indian player in the team, Yadav was dropped from the last match and was replaced by Piyush Chawla. However, given that the team returns to Eden Gardens, which is expected to be a seaming track, Chawla might have to make way for Yadav once again.

Colin de GrandhommeThe Kiwi all-rounder has been in the thick of things: having picked up three wickets in the game against RCB. He will look to continue his form at the Eden Gardens and will look to justify his place in the side, especially because he hasn’t contributed much with the bat. He failed as an opener, and was replaced by Narine at the top.

Chris WoakesThe English all-rounder hasn’t been able to live up to his billing in his debut IPL season, and has not been amongst the wickets and hasn’t had much impact with the bat either. But the flexibility that he provides has meant that he has Gambhir’s confidence ahead of the likes of Trent Boult and Shakib Al Hasan.

Nathan Coulter-NileThe star of the thumping victory over the Royal Challengers at Eden, this Australian pacer was rested for the next game and did not travel with the squad. He should be fit and raring to go against the Delhi Daredevils, for he is a superb T20 bowler he hits the deck hard and can tonk the ball at will as well.

Kuldeep YadavThe magician might have admitted that he was slightly anxious before bowling to MS Dhoni, but completely bamboozled the former India captain, forcing him out of the crease and getting him stumped with a peach of a delivery.

He has delivered whenever Gambhir has approached him, and will look to contribute in the previous home game against RCB.

Umesh YadavThe Indian speedster, toast of the Test season, had a great season to IPL 2017 after returning from injury, but hasn’t been able to back it up with wickets in the following games. He has bowled in the right areas and displayed aggression.

He will look to add more wickets next to his name especially on surfaces conducive to seam bowling.
