IPL 2017 SRH vs MI: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) today's probable playing 11 against Mumbai Indians (MI)

Match no. 48 is a must-win for SRH

Defending IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad, placed 4th on the points table currently, will be facing the table toppers Mumbai Indians in match No. 48 of IPL 2017. After losing their last two outings, the Sunrisers will be desperate for a win.

If they lose tonight, they may virtually also lose out on a playoffs berth. Here is the predicted playing XI for the Sunrisers.

David Warner (capt)

David Warner – the orange cap holder, has been enjoying a good run this IPL and would look to continue the same in the tournament that has seen him accumulate 515 runs from 10 matches so far. His partnership with Shikhar Dhawan has been important to his team's success and the southpaw will be eager look to provide this team with another blazing start, especially at this do-or-die stage.

Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner form one of the most threatening opening partnerships in the IPL. Playing a firm second fiddle to Warner, he has garnered 348 runs from 10 matches. He has served as the aggressor at the beginning of the innings. He, along with Warner, bears the responsibility of providing Hyderabad with a brisk start early on.

Kane Williamson

Kane Williamson has added solidity to the SRH middle order and his No. 3 spot continues to be pivotal for the team. He plays the perfect foil to fearless strokeplay by Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner, and his ability to manoeuvre the field also is significant to Hyderabad’s chances of defending the title.

Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh started off the tournament with a bang against the Royal Challengers Bangalore but lost his momentum in the middle of the tourney before firing again against Delhi and Pune with scores of 70 and 47 respectively. At this crucial stage, the Sunrisers would love him to be at his belligerent best.

He has also found a place in India’s XI for the Champions Trophy.

Moises Henriques

Henriques hasn't been as good with the willow as he has been with the cherry. After a half century against RCB in the tournament opener, he hasn’t been able to get going. But the fact that he has been included in the Australian squad for the Champions Trophy will encourage him to perform a more crucial role both as an all-rounder.

Naman Ojha (wk)

The wicket-keeper batsman has failed to make the best of the opportunities he has been provided with and would be eager to change that in the remaining games. Ojha can be used a floater in the batting line-up since he has the pedigree and can play a substantial innings for the team.

Bipul Sharma

Bipul Sharma, the unfancied leg-spinner, has played a decent support role to Afghan’s Rashid Khan, and has often put a break on the flow of runs from the opposition. Besides, he is also a potential slogger down the order with his capability with the bat to hit a long ball.

Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan has been a revelation of sorts this season. But with each match, the batsmen seem to have picked up all his tricks and are playing with him with a bit of caution.

Mohammed Siraj

Mohammad Siraj’s pace is raw, which he has used to good effect throughout. He has exploited the conditions well and it is always good to have a bowler who can hurry the batsmen up.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the leading wicket taker of IPL 10 so far, has been the star performer for the Sunrisers, having picked up 20 wickets in 10 matches. His ability to nail the yorkers at the death has got the world talking about him.

Siddarth Kaul

Siddharth Kaul has been a revelation for the defending champions. He has prevented SRH's Bhuvneshwar from being under too much pressure. His 4/29 against the Supergiant in the last game was a testament to his talent.
