In Chris Gayle, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, I have enough captaincy options and impact players that are required for this match. Jason Roy and Glenn Maxwell are two others who are worth considering, in case you are looking for more players.

If Roy escapes Mujeeb Zadran, you can expect him to contribute heavily today, but if he doesn’t, he might not even play the next match, so that’s the call that needs to be taken. I don’t see the need for it on my team, and so I am keeping him out again.

Glenn Maxwell, on the other hand, is in his career-best touch and showed signs of it against Kolkata Knight Riders. He should come good if he gets enough time at the crease, but therein lies the issue: batting at No.5, will he get enough deliveries to give the desired returns?

Shreyas Iyer, too, is back amongst the runs now, so the chances of it happening are lower than it ever was before. As a result, with better top order options down the line, this isn’t something that I am interested in.

Among the uncapped options in play today, Mayank Agarwal scores over both Rahul Tewatia and Shahbaz Nadeem, considering the batting unit these two spinners will be up against. If Gayle and Rahul survive Trent Boult, who is their only threat today, they will annihilate both.
