Khawaja, who played for the New South Wales in the domestic circuit from 2007-2012 currently plays for Queensland.

He has been a part of the Sydney Thunder since the inception of the Big Bash league in 2011 and has vast experience when it comes to T20 cricket. Khawaja has represented Derbyshire and Lancashire in the English county.

Khawaja has been a consistent performer for the Thunders over the years and has played an integral part in their success in the fifth season of the Big Bash league.

In 24 Big Bash games, he has scored 956 runs at a strike-rate of 130.25, with his highest score being 109*.

In 2016 IPL, he was signed by the Rising Pune Supergiant as a replacement following injuries to Faf du Plessis and Kevin Pietersen.

In six IPL games, he scored 127 runs at a strike-rate of 127.0, with his highest score being 30. He went unsold in this year’s auction with a base price of INR 75 lakh.
