#8 Fastest centuries

Chris Gayle's century against PWI is also the fastest century in IPL and T20 history

Brendon McCullum smashed the first ever century in IPL history and he took 53 balls to reach there. Hussey bettered his record by taking just 50 deliveries to reach his hundred against Kings XI Punjab. Andrew Symonds then bettered Hussey’s record by smashing his hundred against Rajasthan Royals from 47 balls.

The following hundred bettered Symonds’ record by coming of just 42 deliveries and it was hit by another Aussie. It Adam Gilchrist against Mumbai Indians. Gilchrist’s record stood for a while before being broken by Yusuf Pathan against Mumbai Indians in 2010.

Pathan’s record stood for three years before being overtaken by Chris Gayle’s majestic 175. Gayle’s century took just 30 deliveries and it remains the fastest century in IPL and T20 history.
