The franchise will have to get back to winning ways on Wednesday

After a forgettable outing against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at home, the Kings XI Punjab will arrive in Mumbai, looking to turn things around and get back to winning ways in a must-win encounter at the Wankhede Stadium

Here is how they could line-up for the game against the defending champions:

KL Rahul: The Karnataka right-hander, who has been in excellent form in the competition so far, fell early on Monday night and will need to step up for the side on Wednesday at the Wankhede.

Chris Gayle: The Jamaican will need to complement his Indian opening partner on Wednesday, on a ground where he made a century in the World T20 a couple of years ago.

Karun Nair: The other Karnataka batsman in the Top 3, Nair has failed to get going for the side and will need to get among the runs on Wednesday night.

Aaron Finch: The Australian was the top-scorer for the side in the game against the Royal Challengers with 26 and lot will depend on him to get a big score in the middle-order.

Manoj Tiwary: One of the underrated stars of the Rising Pune Supergiants outfit last year, Tiwary could replace Mayank Agarwal in the side just to bolster the batting line-up.

Marcus Stoinis: The franchise will hope for Stoinis to contribute both with bat and ball in this crunch encounter.

Ravichandran Ashwin (C): The skipper will need to be in top form both as a bowler as well as a captain if his team are to do well in this contest.

Axar Patel: With a few left-handers in the Mumbai Indians team, Patel will need to bowl well in the game on Wednesday with the batsmen aiming to hit him on the on-side with the ball coming in.

Andrew Tye: The best bowler of the franchise and arguably, the best bowler in the competition, Tye will need to have a good evening with the ball if the Kings XI are to either restrict or defend a total against the Mumbai Indians.

Mohit Sharma: The Haryana pacer will have to complement Tye well both at the start and at the end of the innings on Wednesday.

Ankit Rajpoot: Rajpoot went for plenty on Monday with Virat Kohli looking to end proceedings early and will need to come up with a better showing on Wednesday.
