Jofra Archer made an immediate impact in his debut match for the franchise after a lay-off from injury, with a triple wicket final over with the help of rip-roaring yorkers. He restricted Mumbai Indians to a score of 167 when they looked good for above par total of 200, and won the Man of the match award.

But the potential match-changing over came from Jaydev Unadkat in the 16th over of the innings when he dismissed a rampaging Suryakumar Yadav, who was on 72 runs, with an off-cutter.

That same over also saw a first golden duck for Rohit Sharma in T20s when he was dismissed off a run-out thanks to a brilliant one-handed throw from Rahane which changed the complexion of the match and arrested their final surge to the innings.
