IPL 2018, RR vs RCB: 3 unnoticed things from the match

<p>

#3 Tripathi finally coming good

Making a name for himself at the top of the order representing Rising Pune Super Giant last year, Rahul Tripathi was pushed down the order to accommodate big hitting foreign recruits like D'Arcy Short and Klaasen.

The move didn't work either way for Rajasthan Royals since none of the openers came good apart from Jos Buttler to partner Rahane and Tripathi struggled to make an impact in the middle order, getting dropped at a point.

Following the departure of Jos Buttler to England, Tri[pathi was slotted back in the opening role alongside Rahane and proved his credentials at the top by playing an unbeaten match-winning inning of 80, keeping their playoff hopes alive and eventually completing his first half-century of the tournament.
