SRH skipper Kane Williamson once again led from the front with a superb innings of 63 runs in 43 balls.

Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowlers defended a low score for third consecutive time, to defeat Rajasthan Royals by 11 runs in an away encounter.

After electing to bat first, Sunrisers scored a modest total of 151/7 in their 20 overs on a two-paced pitch, courtesy of skipper Kane Williamson, who scored a brilliant 63 runs of just 43 balls and Alex Hales's fighting knock of 45 runs in 39 balls.

Chasing a tricky target of 152 against a strong SRH bowling attack, Rajasthan Royals could score only muster 140/6 in their 20 overs to lose the match by 11 runs, despite skipper Ajinkya Rahane's unbeaten 65 runs in 53 balls and Sanju Samson's 40 runs in 30 balls.

With this win over Rajasthan, Sunrisers Hyderabad reached the top spot in IPL 2018 points table by displacing Chennai Super Kings from the top position.

Shikhar Dhawan - 5/10

The Indian opener did not have a good match with the bat, as he was dismissed for just 6 runs by K Gowtham. Dhawan although, had a good day in the field as he took 2 catches.

Alex Hales- 7/10

Playing his debut IPL match, Alex Hales struggled with his timing but hung on to add 92 for the 2nd wicket with skipper Kane Williamson, thereby scoring a fighting 45 runs in 39 balls.

Kane Williamson- 10/10

SRH's skipper dream run with the bat continued, with an outstanding knock of 63 runs in just 43 balls. And as usual, Williamson was spot on in his captaincy and effected crucial bowling changes like bringing on Yusuf Pathan to dismiss dangerman Ben Stokes.

Manish Pandey- 7/10

The Indian middle order batsman disappointed with the bat once again as he scored just 16 runs in 15 balls, before being dismissed in the 19th over of SRH innings. As always, Pandey was brilliant in the field as he saved a certain six from the bat of Mahipal Lomror in the penultimate over of the match.

Shakib Al Hasan- 6/10

The Bangladeshi all-rounder failed with the bat as he was dismissed for just 6 runs by Jofra Archer in the 18th over of SRH innings. As always, Shakib was brilliant with the ball and bowled an economical spell of 4-0-30-0.

Yusuf Pathan- 7/10

The Indian veteran did not contribute much with the bat as he came into bat in last few overs of SRH innings and was dismissed for just 2 runs by Jofra Archer, but made up for his poor performance with the bat, by taking the prized wicket of Ben Stokes with the ball.

Wriddhiman Saha- 5/10

The Indian test wicketkeeper scored an unbeaten 11 runs of just 7 balls with the bat, and later on took a brilliant catch to dismiss Mahipal Lomror in the penultimate over of the match.

Rashid Khan- 7/10

Rashid Khan's superb tournament with the ball continued, as he bowled an economical spell of 4-0-31-1.

Basil Thampi- 5/10

The Kerala youngster was hit for 17 runs in his 1st over by his Kerala teammate Sanju Samson but recovered to defend 20 runs of the final over to win the match for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Siddarth Kaul- 7/10

Siddarth Kaul once again led the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowling attack superbly in the absence of injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar and picked up 2 wickets by conceding just 23 runs in his 4 overs.

Sandeep Sharma- 7/10

Sandeep Sharma continued his good form with the ball by bowling a tight spell of 4-0-15-1.

Rajasthan Royals skipper Ajinkya Rahane played a good unbeaten innings of 65 runs but consumed 53 balls, which was somehow responsible for Rajasthan Royals loss.

Rahul Tripathi- 1/10

Rahul Tripathi's poor run with the bat in IPL 2018 continued, as he was dismissed for just 4 runs by Sandeep Sharma and while fielding Tripathi dropped the crucial catch of Kane Williamson who went on to score 63 runs.

Sanju Samson- 7/10

Kerala batsman Sanju Samson's good run with the bat in IPL 2018 continued, as he scored a handy knock of 40 runs in 30 balls before being dismissed by Siddarth Kaul.

Ben Stokes- 4/10

The costliest player of IPL 2018, Ben Stokes bowled an economical spell of 3-0-20-0. But, Stokes failed with the bat as he was dismissed for a duck by Yusuf Pathan.

Jos Buttler- 3/10

The England wicket keeper's poor IPL season with the bat continued as he was dismissed by Rashid Khan for just 10 runs.

Mahipal Lomror- 4/10

The youngster from Rajasthan did not have a good match, as he conceded 8 runs in his only over and played a slow innings of 11 runs in 12 balls before being dismissed by Siddarth Kaul in the penultimate over of the match.

Krishnappa Gowtham- 7/10

The Karnataka all-rounder had a good match as he bowled a superb spell of 4-0-18-2 with the ball, and was dismissed for 8 runs with the bat in the final over while trying to win the match for Rajasthan Royals.

Jofra Archer- 9/10

Jofra Archer was once again brilliant with the ball in the death overs as he picked up 3 wickets and conceded just 26 runs in his 4 overs.

Jaydev Unandkat- 3/10

Jaydev Unadkat's poor IPL 2018 with the ball continued as he bowled an expensive spell of 3-0-33-1.

Dhawal Kulkarni- 3/10

Dhawal Kulkarni did not have a good match, as he was expensive with the ball and conceded 20 runs in his 2 overs and failed to pick up a wicket.

Ish Sodhi- 7/10

New Zealand leg-spinner Ish Sodhi had a good debut IPL match, as he picked up the crucial wicket of Kane Williamson which helped Rajasthan Royals to restrict Sunrisers Hyderabad to a modest total of 151/7 in 20 overs.
