Rashid Khan is the No. 1 T20 bowler in the ICC Rankings

A lot of batsmen have found Rashid Khan very difficult to pick and hence the teenage Afghanistan sensation is one of the most-sought-after cricketers in T20 cricket. He has been in excellent form as he took 17 wickets in 8 games in the World Cup Qualifiers, which concluded just 10 days before the start of the IPL.

In this IPL, Rashid Khan might not have created headlines, but he is going about his job quietly. In the first game, he took 1 for 23 as SRH restricted RR to just 125. In this game as well, he might not have had the wickets to show, but he was SRH’s most economical bowler.

Rashid came onto bowl in the 5th over of the innings and gave away just 1 run (there were 4 leg-byes as well). That over also included an easy dropped chance. In the next two overs, he gave just 7 runs, bowling against the likes of Kieron Pollard and Suryakumar Yadav.

He bowled his last-over in the 18th over of the innings and was once again superb. Ben Cutting hit a boundary early in the over but Rashid dismissed Cutting and gave away only 5 runs in the 18th over. The Afghanistan star player had figures of 1 for 13 in 4 overs, which included 18 dot balls.
