The 26-year old opener from Ranchi has been one of the best in the business amongst all the uncapped openers. Having tasted considerable success in the IPL, Tripathi is one to look out for in this edition as well.

He carried the confidence gained from the IPL into the longest formats, scoring 450 runs in the Ranji Trophy for Maharashtra, including two centuries and two half-centuries, at an average of 50 in nine innings.
