The 8th season of the Big Bash League concluded just a few days ago, with Melbourne Renegades lifting the trophy. Now, all eyes will turn to the Indian Premier League, which is set to kick-off on March 23.

There are many players who are part of both the T20 leagues. Some of these players performed really well in the Big Bash League and will be looking to carry that form into IPL 2019 as well.

Here, we take a look at three star performers of BBL 2018-19 to watch out for in the upcoming edition of IPL.

#3 Ben Cutting

The hard-hitting Aussie all-rounder, Ben Cutting was in very good form in the recently concluded Big Bash League while playing for Brisbane Heat. Even though Brisbane Heat could not qualify for the semifinals, Cutting starred with both bat and ball in the tournament.

The 32-year-old scored a total of 249 runs with the help of 2 fifties, and picked up 12 wickets in the tournament. In the last league match, Cutting played a blistering knock of 81 off just 30 balls which helped his team chase down the target of 157 in just 10 overs.

In IPL 2019, Cutting will turn out for the Mumbai Indians. So far, Cutting has played 18 matches in the IPL and has scored 220 runs from 14 innings at an average of 24.44 and an unbelievable strike rate of 177.42. His performances with the ball have not been too impressive though as he has taken just 9 wickets from 16 innings at a modest average of 44.67 and economy rate of 8.97.

It will be fascinating to see if Cutting can continue his fabulous run of form and inspire Mumbai to a playoff berth.

#2 Rashid Khan

The majestic leg spinner from Afghanistan, Rashid Khan is arguably one of the best bowlers in the shortest format of the game. The 20-year-old was in tremendous form in the recently concluded BBL as he took 19 wickets from 14 matches at an excellent average of 18.11 and an impressive strike rate of 6.14. He was the leading wicket-taker for his team Adelaide Strikers in the tournament.

He also played some cameos with the bat in the league, scoring 93 runs at a magnificent strike rate of 166.07.

In the IPL, Rashid Khan has played a total of 31 matches for Sunrisers Hyderabad till date and has picked 38 wickets at a good average of 21.47 and stunning economy rate of 6.69.

We all know how good Rashid is with the ball. In recent times, though he has proved himself to be a hard-hitting batsman as well. So it will be engrossing to watch how he performs as an all-rounder in this season of the IPL.

Marcus Stoinis is one of the best all-rounders in limited overs cricket at the moment. He was in tremendous form in BBL 2018-19 and took his team Melbourne Stars to the finals.

The 29-year-old scored 533 runs from 13 innings at an excellent average of 53.30 and a decent strike rate of 130.64 with 81 being his highest score. He also scored 4 fifties to finish as the third leading run-scorer of the tournament.

Meanwhile, he also picked 14 wickets from 11 innings at an unbelievable average of 16.14 and economy rate of 8.37.

This IPL season, Stoinis will be seen playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore and will surely want to help his side go all the way and lift their first ever trophy.
